For the past several summers, we were able to offer a ten week 4-H Internship position to a local college student who might be considering a career with Virginia Cooperative Extension. The intern was able to shadow local Extension Agents and staff members and assist with programs, in addition to giving leadership to a 4-H Program each summer. The interns also gained experience working with the public, working in an office, and working as part of a professional team in an educational setting.
